This is one of the new 'Deck Topper' kayaking and boating map series -- perfect for those heading deep into the heart of Nootka Sound to Nootka Island, Friendly Cove and Nuchatlitz Inlet, including the Nootka Trail.

Use it in conjunction with #204 Nookta Island if you are heading around Nootka Island, or #202 Nuchatlitz if you are heading to the channels on the north end of Nootka Island. This map includes many of the best wilderness coastal areas in British Columbia, as well as many of the most historic including the village of Yuquot. Boaters will want to use it as well for orientation including anchorages throughout the area as well as for understanding the entire region's shoreline, rock by rock. The reverse side includes travel information, facts, history and safety considerations perfect for anyone visiting the area. Consider it the essential travel companion for anyone visiting Nootka Sound or for anyone just dreaming of visiting this remarkable location.

This map series is currently in production with delivery planned no later than spring 2019. Advance purchases are welcome with notification of delivery date once known. The series will include 20 new mapsheets in all. Stay tuned for information as this series becomes available.

New: Due to increasing worldwide issues surrounding plastics, Wild Coast Publishing is offering the option of ordering this map free of a plastic sleeve. The plastic sleeve is reusable if you open it using the resealable tab at the bottom (as opposed to ripping it open). The sleeve is also recyclable, but given the current difficulties with plastics overall, we urge you to order your map free of exterior plastic wrapping.

About the Deck Topper series: This series packages the BC coast section by section, and when complete will cover it in its entirety. The maps are designed by paddlers and boaters for paddlers and boaters, right down to the size -- a handy 24x18", slightly smaller than a traditional street map and so easy to manage when on the water. Use it as a "deck topper" for easy visualization as you travel on the water, use it around the campfire (or your anchorage) at night to plan your next day's route, and at home for research when your journey is still in the dream stage.

The series is conveniently numbered, with #201 starting at Brooks Peninsula on the northwest coast of Vancouver then southward through Kyuquot, Nootka and Clayoquot Sounds around to the Gulf Islands then throughout the BC south coast. Make Deck Toppers your essential on-water companion.
